What is Colloidal Silver?
What exactly is SilverGuard Colloidal Silver?
SilverGuard Colloidal Silver is pure silver — broken down into billions of sub-microscopic particles suspended in steam-distilled water. Our electrolytic process produces particles as small as 0.009 microns(9nm) at a concentration of 15 ppm (parts per million).
Particle size is what matters most. The smaller the particle, the greater the surface area exposed, and the more readily your body can absorb and process it. Once SilverGuard concentration climbs above 25 ppm, particle sizes increase and clump together.
For best absorption, hold SilverGuard under your tongue for 15–30 seconds before swallowing. Colloidal minerals absorb particularly well sublingually.
What's the history behind colloidal silver?
Silver has a long historical and industrial use — here’s some context, though this doesn’t reflect medical advice for using SilverGuard specifically:
Silver has been used medicinally for thousands of years. Roman soldiers placed silver coins in their mouths to ward off illness. Wealthy families stored food in silver containers to prevent bacterial growth — and they lived longer for it.
At the start of the 20th century, colloidal silver was widely used by medical practitioners and proved highly effective against bacteria. Its use declined after antibiotics arrived in 1938, but interest surged again in the 1970s as antibiotic resistance grew.
Today, silver is used in bone surgery, in 70% of US burns centres, and in water purification systems used by NASA and major airlines. Many UK hospitals add silver to their water supplies to combat Legionnaires’ disease.

Is SilverGuard safe to take?
SilverGuard is formulated at a low 15ppm concentration using pure silver and pharmaceutical-grade water. We are not aware of reported side effects at recommended serving sizes. As with any supplement, we recommend doing a small patch test if applying topically, and checking with your doctor before use if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, on medication, or managing a medical condition

The US EPA has indicated no known risk for an average adult consuming up to 7 teaspoons daily of 12 ppm colloidal silver for 70 years, when manufactured correctly.
Can I have an allergic reaction to colloidal silver?
Allergic reactions to silver are very rare, and there are no known interactions with conventional medications. If you’re concerned, do a simple patch test — apply a drop to your skin and wait. Any redness may indicate intolerance.

Concentration & Potency
Isn't higher ppm more powerful?
No — this is one of the most common misconceptions about colloidal silver. Particle size is far more important than ppm. Once concentration exceeds 25 ppm, the electrolysis process cannot maintain consistently small particle sizes. Bigger particles mean less surface area, lower bioavailability, and reduced effectiveness.
SilverGuard is produced at 15 ppm with particles between 0.0005 and 0.009 microns — a range that balances potency with safety. A 500 ppm product may contain silver, but it’s delivering it in a form your body struggles to absorb or eliminate.
Taste & Storage
What does SilverGuard taste like?
Mostly like water, with a very faint metallic note. Most people don’t find it unpleasant. If you’re sensitive to it, try spraying it directly into your mouth instead — you’ll taste it far less, and it works just as well. Kids actually find the spray fun.
Don’t dilute it — the concentration is already carefully calibrated. You can add it to cooled, boiled or distilled water if needed, or mix it into food.
How should I store SilverGuard?
Store in a cool, dark place — a pantry or medicine cabinet works well. Keep it out of reach of children.

- Avoid direct sunlight — UV light can affect the silver particles
- Keep away from electromagnetic fields — microwaves and electrical outlets included
- Don’t leave in a hot car — sustained high temperatures (above 52°C / 125°F) should be avoided
SilverGuard is stable and does not fall out of suspension, so a plastic bottle is perfectly fine for storage — no glass required.
What colour should it be?
SilverGuard has a slight yellow-amber hue. That light amber colour is a good sign — it indicates a smaller silver particle size, which is what makes the product easier for your body to absorb, process, and eliminate.
Using with Pets
Can I give SilverGuard to my pets?
Many pet owners use SilverGuard as part of their animal’s wellness routine. It is not a replacement for veterinary care — if your pet is unwell, please see a vet. Argyria — Will I Turn Blue?
I've heard colloidal silver can turn your skin blue. Is that true?
SilverGuard will not turn you blue. Argyria — a permanent blue-grey skin discolouration — is extremely rare and only associated with products that are fundamentally different to what we make.
Known causes of Argyria include: protein synthesis silver solutions made with silver powder (not electrolytic silver), products at concentrations of 100 ppm or above, impure silver compounds, and silver salts or powders inhaled occupationally. These products foam heavily when shaken and often have concentrations as high as 20,000 ppm.
We formulate SilverGuard at a low concentration specifically to stay within commonly cited safety margins for silver exposure. As with any supplement, follow the dosing guidance on our label and do not exceed the recommended daily amount.

Will SilverGuard kill my good gut bacteria?
At the recommended dose and concentration, SilverGuard is absorbed in the upper gastrointestinal tract before it reaches your intestines — leaving your beneficial gut bacteria largely untouched. This is one key advantage over broad-spectrum antibiotics, which indiscriminately wipe out good and bad bacteria alike.
If you’re taking larger therapeutic doses over an extended period, a small amount may reach the intestines. In this case, taking acidophilus supplements or live-culture yogurt will help restore and maintain your intestinal flora.
